An Independent candidate who cares about the real needs of Northern New Yorkers

A non-partisan voice who cares more about getting to work than passing the blame

Core Values & Issues

One-size-fits-all regulations aren’t the right fit for our small towns

Rural Northern New York is different than other parts of the state, who are better represented in the state government. Our voices often get overlooked. The best solutions to our specific challenges come from our people.

Volunteer Firemen & Ambulance are the heart & soul of rural health systems

State mandated training requirements are often-cited deterrents to local recruiting efforts. Improved tax credits for volunteers will offset the personal costs of volunteering. Legislative & budget support for departments is vital to their future. Fireman & EMTs should be putting out fires and saving lives…not fundraising.

Accountability for utility & internet companies - we are not getting the services we pay for

The 49th Senate District has the highest rates for internet services due to lack of competition, and the worst service of anywhere in the state for the same reason. The greed of these companies needs to be curbed and regulated. Our lives and livelihoods are as important as folks who live in big cities. Our utility and internet infrastructure needs improvement NOW!

“Politics as usual” is destructive. People & progress are more important than party politics.

There are some common sense solutions that we can all support:

  • tax credits for gun safe-storage & gun safety training

  • funding for local police departments over-taxed by a lack of social support services

We are all going to need to work together to solve the housing crisis, worker shortages, crumbling infrastructure, and the issues that face our region. We need each other to prosper & thrive. And wouldn’t life feel better if the volume on the bitterness and anger could be turned down?

Aren’t you sick of it? I am.

Community service is where it’s at!

“Being involved at the local level has taught me some important things - that people are good and they want to help. And that we all want the same things…mostly for our families to be safe and happy.” - Linda Weal

I am proud to be a LOCAL!

I am proud of our history.

I look forward to bright future for all of

Northern New York.

“Born in a Watertown hospital, raised in Carthage by awesome parents I grew up visiting one set of grandparents in Adams and the other set in Old Forge.

I grew up attending excellent schools (Carthage Central High School - Class of 1996). I felt safe playing outside throughout my childhood and teen years and had terrific neighbors and a tight-knit church community.

Today, I am a business owner, library director, and involved citizen in my adopted hometown of Old Forge. I look at the region we live in and the challenges and potential and I want to be a part of it all.”
